Little Einstein
About the Project
In my User Experience Design course, we created an online retail website for Little Einstein, a children's toy store focusing on STEAM toys.
Card Sorting
After gathering the 50 products offered on the website, we did a card sorting session to determine how we could group the products together. Three main categories emerged: age, the area of interest, and the STEAM category.
User Personas and Flows
The team interviewed users to develop three distinct user personas. Then we identified tasks they would try to complete on the site. We examined their user flows to identify pain points and areas where good and bad emotions run high.
Paper Prototype and User Testing
Our team built out a paper prototype and had eight people test the three user flows. We asked for a general impression of the site and listened closely for moments of joy and confusion.
Interactive Prototype
Using feedback from our user testing, we built out an interactive prototype in Axure that worked for several of our user flows and provided a great starting point for how the site would function.
