Mobile-Responsive Redesign
During the 2016 mobile-responsive website redesign, I worked with an external vendor to develop a redesigned version of NYU Alumni Connect. We knew nearly 50% of our audience read the email on a mobile device, but the newsletter was not yet optimized for these readers. After researching industry standards and best practices, we developed a mobile-responsive template that increased the use of images, reduced the manual coding required, and cut the build time by 50%.
Interactive & Multimedia Content
In reviewing the performance of our content, I noticed a 54% increase in engagement when we incorporated interactive and multimedia content in the newsletter. Drawing on this insight, I have worked to increase our use of interactive content; creating more videos, quizzes, polls, playlists, and more.
